Whether you’re looking to maximize value through a traditional estate sale, need the broader reach of an online auction, or prefer the speed and simplicity of a buyout, we’ll help you choose the approach that makes the most sense for your situation.

  • Traditional Estate Sales

    Capitol Estate Sales offers professionally managed estate sales designed to maximize value while minimizing stress. We handle the sale of household contents ranging from everyday furnishings to antiques, vehicles, tools, and equipment.

    Each sale begins with a free walkthrough or photo evaluation to assess the property and determine the best approach. We focus on fair market pricing, thoughtful staging, and effective marketing to attract serious buyers and achieve strong results.

    Most sales run over one to two days, with our team managing all setup, staffing, sales, and checkout. After the sale, we can arrange donation, recycling, or disposal of unsold items for an additional fee, leaving the home broom-clean and ready for its next step.

    Proceeds are typically distributed within two weeks of the sale’s completion. We’re also happy to coordinate with real estate agents when a home is being listed.

  • Online / Onsite Estate Sale

    When a traditional estate sale isn’t possible due to HOA restrictions, limited access, or time constraints, an online/onsite auction can be an effective alternative. This option combines nationwide online exposure with controlled, local pickup—without hosting a full public sale in the home.

    The process begins with a free walkthrough or photo evaluation. We then stage and photograph items, create a professionally marketed online catalog, and open bidding to buyers nationwide. Local buyers are given an opportunity to preview items onsite prior to the auction.

    Auctions are conducted either live or timed, depending on the size of the estate, and typically take place offsite. Winning bidders pick up items by appointment, with our team handling verification, loading, and shipping as needed—no public access to the home after the sale.

    As with our traditional sales, we can also coordinate donation, recycling, or disposal of remaining items for an additional fee, leaving the property broom-clean and ready for its next step.

  • Buyout Services

    A buyout is the fastest way to clear the contents of a home or business. When time is limited or community restrictions prevent a traditional or online estate sale, we can purchase select items outright for a single flat fee.

    After a free walkthrough or photo evaluation, we’ll make a straightforward offer based on resale value. If accepted, we handle all removal and provide prompt payment—often within a week.

    For items not included in the buyout, we can arrange donation, recycling, or disposal services for an additional fee. Donation receipts are available when applicable, and the property can be left clean and ready for its next step.
